Bingo Tarot

Yesterday a friend of mine told me her story about how Tarot changed her life. I thought I should read about Tarot game which I found very interesting. I found lot of stuff about it on the internet. For example there is a mystical online slot game on Mecca Bingo, called Mecca Bingo Tarot Furtune Max.

The history of Tarot:

Tarot is a very interesting method of divination. Most of the experts say it can't tell you would you win the jackpot on online bingo or not, but can tell you what forces lead your life. So are they not right at Mecca Bingo? (ok, I know it's an online game only;)

"Tarot" refers to a family of games played with an augmented deck, (that is, decks with a fifth "suit" serving as permanent trumps), and also to the decks themselves. Most other card games using trumps select one of four regular suits to serve as trumps for a particular hand. Tarot is commonly played in various areas of Europe, and has been played in Italy since the 1440s. Outside Europe, there has been a revival of interest in Tarot card games especially amongst participants in Medieval and Renaissance re-enactments. "Tarot" also refers to similar decks that are used for fortune-telling and other esoteric purposes. In English-speaking countries, despite a slow but growing interest in Tarot's gaming heritage, fortune-telling is currently the only common use of Tarot cards, even though such use did not begin until roughly 350 years after their invention.

The Tarot has a fragmented history that intrigues historians, scholars, hobbyists, and spiritualists alike. Drawing on the concrete facts that are available, we will attempt to briefly explain the origins of the Tarot, and trace some of its milestones through the centuries.

The designs of the 22 cards in the Major Arcana can be traced back as far as 1440, when the first known deck appeared in Italy. The 3 decks called the "Visconti Trumps" are generally regarded as the "forefathers" of the decks that are widely available today. It is believed that they were originally created as a game for Nobles. It is not until centuries later that the cards reemerged, this time as a tool of divination. In the latter half of the 15th century, the cardmakers in Marseilles, France began to standardize the Trumps. Before this organized production, those who played the Trumps could dictate which they wanted to include, and which they wanted substituted or eliminated. Certain cards; Death, the Devil, and the Tower in particular; were considered offensive by the more conservative Nobles. These images caused religious leaders to attempt to ban the Trumps.

The first detailed reference to the Trumps of the Tarot is in the form of a sermon. This sermon, given by a Franciscan friar in Italy sometime between 1450 and 1470, contends that the Trumps were invented and named by the Devil. It condemns the use of the cards, and generally credits them with the triumph of the Devil. According to the friar, the Devil wins through the loss of the souls of those who play what was then, quite probably, nothing more than a simple game.

The rebirth of the Tarot, and its beginnings a means of divination, are attributed to Antoine Court de Gébelin in 1781.He believed it was Egyptian in origin, and that it contained mystical knowledge that had been purposefully encoded in the symbolism of the Trumps. Specifically, he theorized that the cards were the key to lost Egyptian magical wisdom written by Thoth, the Egyptian God of inspired written knowledge. The Trumps themselves began to noticeably evolve from this point forward. Changes were thought to have been introduced by the different secret societies who produced the decks.

The first account of divination through the use of cards is attributed to cartomancer Jean-Baptiste Alliette, better known as "Etteilla", in 1770. He was the first to publish divinatory meanings for cards, and only 32 cards (plus one, representing the querent) were included in this edition. At this time, only regular playing cards were mentioned. Later, Etteilla published several works that involved the Tarot Trumps specifically. It is no surprise that these later writings coincided with deGebelin's then-recently-public treatment of the Tarot as a wellspring of Egyptian occult knowledge. Etteilla must have anticipated the Tarot's jump in popularity: his was the first deck available to the public expressly for the purpose of Cartomancy.

The discovery of the Rosetta Stone that translated the hieroglyphs of the Egyptians in 1799 did not yield any support to the theory that the Trumps hailed from Egypt. Still, the belief endured and was augmented in 1857 with the introduction of the notion that the wandering Romany people - " Gypsies" thought to be descendants of Egyptians - had carried the deck with them on their travels through Europe.

In the nineteenth century, the famous occultist known as Eliphas Lévi developed a correlation between the Tarot and the Kabbalah: the Hebrew system of mysticism. This fueled a new belief that the Tarot originated in Israel, and contained the wisdom of the Tree of Life. The new theory brought all 78 cards together as keys to the mysteries, but again, there were no concrete facts to support it. Nevertheless, something important was accomplished. The theory would later serve as proof that the symbolism of the Tarot crossed all boundaries. From this point forward, many magical and esoteric groups recognized the Tarot as a timeless body of knowledge that had significance in every mystical path.

Since that time it has been linked with almost every magical system or religion known to humankind. The Tarot is comprised of archetypal images that cross linguistic, cultural, geographical, and temporal barriers.

The Theosophical Society, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, the Rosicrucians, the Church of Light, and the Builders of the Adytum (B.O.T.A.) all secured the Tarot's position in the 19th and 20th centuries. In the United States of America, the Tarot became popular and more readily available in the 1960's, when a period of exploration in spirituality began.

Arthur Edward Waite is credited with the renaissance of the Tarot in the Twentieth Century. He commissioned artist Pamela Coleman Smith to create what he called the "rectified" Tarot. Created by a member of secret societies also known as a revered mystic, Waite's version has been widely accepted as the standard, and is by far the most popular deck of the century, rich in symbolism and easily understood due to the simple nature of the artwork.

In the opinion of many learned Tarot enthusiasts, the most significant change the deck has experienced is Smith's treatment of the Minor Arcana. Hers are the first "pip" cards to contain images depicting the meaning of the cards. These graphics allow readers to explain the significance of each cards nuance to querents who, in most cases, have never encountered the cards before. This artistic trend can be traced through the majority of the decks produced after the Rider-Waite (1910), and Smith's influence is readily recognized, as many of the images echo her drawings.

Today's Tarot card designs reflect specific trends in sexuality, religion, culture, and philosophy. There are literally hundreds of interpretations, and more are being conceived as this is being written. The diversity of the styles allows Tarot Readers to choose a deck that suits their personalities, the subject of the reading, the person receiving the reading, or any other variable as they so choose. Certain decks have a serious tone, some have a dream-like quality, others are full of cartoon images. The true beauty lies in the Tarot's ability to retain its "soul" through each metamorphosis and incarnation. It is, on many levels, a mirror of those who work with it, and allows them to make each reading a truly personal experience.

History of Lottery 3.

Lotteries and Sweepstakes were illegal in the United States until after World War II. It was not until the 1960's that the first modern day lotteries began to emerge once again as a way to raise revenue for the state governments in addition to taxes. The first modern state lottery was established in New Hampshire in 1964 and currently there are lotteries in 42 states. State lottery tickets are now most often scanned in large numbers using the new Marksense technology that can take less than a second to check if a certain combination of numbers was picked by anyone even for large multi-state lotteries like the Mega Millions.

Whether to run a lottery is currently the choice of state governments and as such the rues of each are reliant on the state in which they are run. The first US interstate lottery was in 1985 and involved three New England States. Three years later the Multi-State Lottery Association was formed amongst Kansas, Oregon, Rhode Island, Iowa, West Virginia, Missouri, and the District of Columbia and Lotto America was founded. In 1992 this game later evolved into the still enormously popular game, Powerball, now played amongst 29 states. The second biggest multi state game began as The Big Game in 1996 and evolved into Mega Million, currently played by 12 states. Other popular multi-state lotteries include Hot Lotto and Wild Card2.

Hot Lotto is played in 10 states and Washington DC and began in April 2002 in order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Powerball. Hot Lotto drawings are not televised and are drawn by a computerized random number generator rather than using the traditional ball machine. The record for the highest Hot Lotto prize was won in 2007 and was just under $20 million.

Wild Card 2 is also run by the MUSL and is the second version of the original Wild Card game. It is played in a similar fashion to Powerball except that the sixth "number" is actually one of 16 playing cards or any of the four suits. Unlike other multi-state lotteries, all Wild Card 2 prizes are paid out in cash rather than having an annuity option.

Instant Lottery tickets, also known as scratch offs or scratch cards were first introduced in the 1970's and have become a significant source of lottery revenue. Simple scratch offs require players to match a certain amount of numbers representing the same prize amounts - a winning ticket receives that amount. Scratch cards can be more complicated than this however with many ways to win on one card or with symbols, pictures, or words instead of numbers. More popular scratch offs are adaptations of popular games like Poker or Monopoly or Blackjack or are connected to popular brands like Harley Davidson, NASCAR, Marvel Comics, or FIFA.

The Lottery and the Internet

The Internet has revolutionized the way many businesses are run, and although it hasn't transformed the way the lotteries are run the Internet has modernized the way many people participate in lotteries. Online scratch cards can be played at anytime using Flash and Java applications. This can be more addicting than playing the actual game because it is easily available at any time.

Web-only lotteries have surfaced all over the Internet as well as traditional lotteries with online payments. The numbers are often drawn by the site that runs the online lotto as in the case of online bingo or can be linked to a major real world lottery draw to guarantee reliability. Prize money on these sites can range, like normal lotteries, all the way up to $10 million but often do not exceed that. Many of these online lotteries are offered for free with the price of printing a physical ticket being supplemented in ad sales for the site, making them a viable and tempting option for lottery players. Three popular online-lottery sites that require registration but then offer free games are iwinweekly.com, GuessLotto.com, and iWon.com and are all owned by GTech Corporation which administers almost 70% or the worldwide online-lottery business.

Online lotteries have begun to come into question however, due to the fact that they flourished with less scrutiny than physical lotteries and can therefore be generally less prohibitive. Many sites have developed that offer lottery ticket purchasing services that charge unwarranted premiums on base lottery prices. Additionally regulators are finding it difficult to enforce gambling laws on the Internet and there is no process in place to develop online-gambling laws fast enough to keep up with new technologies and ways to bet online.

History of Lottery 2.

It was not until the late 16th century that the English first began to offer lotteries, the first recorded British lottery being chartered by Queen Elizabeth I in 1566 and not drawn until 1569. The lottery was chartered to raise funds for the " reparation of the havens and strength of the Realme, and towardes such other publique good workes". However this lottery was very different from those previously implemented as each ticket holder won a prize and the total of the value of the prizes given equaled the amount of money raised, thereby making the money raised by the lottery more or less a loan to the government over the 3 years that tickets were sold.

After this first initial lottery, the government sold the rights to sell lottery tickets to brokers who in turn hired agents and runners to sell them to the public, thus creating the forerunner of the modern day stockbroker. Government- run lotteries were managed this way until 1826 when Parliament declared the final lottery. During the period before that however many private lotteries were also held, including one to raise money for The Virginia Company of London to support the settlement in Jamestown, the first permanent English settlement in America.

Nowadays when we have internet there are many other games being as much popular as lottery like online bingo or online keno.

History of Lottery 1.

Throughout much of recorded history lotteries have been used as a means to raise funding for public works and continue to be utilized as such today.

The presence of lottery games can be traced all the way back to as early as between 205 and 187 B.C. during the Han Dynasty in what is now China. It is believed that the game Keno, a lottery-like game that is still currently played in modern day casinos, originated at the time. It is thought that even back then lotteries were used to finance government projects, including one of the most famous, the Great Wall of China.

References to lotteries and "drawing lots" have been found in many ancient texts from numerous civilizations from Ancient China, to the Celtic Era, to Ancient Greece in Homer's The Iliad . The first known European lottery occurred during the Roman Empire. At first these lotteries were usually done simply as amusement at dinner parties for the nobility, however during the reign of Augustus Caesar there are records of the sale of tickets for a lottery in order to raise funds for repairs to the City of Rome. However winners were given prizes in the form of articles of disparate value.

It wasn't until 1434 that the earliest public lottery went on record - in the Dutch town of Sluis. And it wasn't until at least a decade later that the first lotteries with prizes in the form of money began to appear in numerous towns in Flanders (present day Belgium, Holland, and France). These first lotteries with monetary prizes were held to raise money to aid the poor and fund fortifications of the towns. These lotteries were hailed as a less painful form of taxation and were quite popular amongst the people. In fact, the English word lottery is derived from the Dutch word loterij which stems from the Dutch noun lot meaning "fate".

Blind bingo fan triumphs with audible bingo cards

I was extremely touched to hear some heartwarming news about a blind bingo fan in the USA who has been battling steadfastly to win the right to use audible bingo cards when she plays bingo.

51 year old Joanna Richardson hails from Rochester NY and is blind. A long-term bingo enthusiast, the only way she can comfortably play the bingo games at her local bingo hall is either with a companion, or by using audible bingo cards.

These special electronic bingo cards enable players to keep track of ball calls with the emission of beeps everytime a number can be daubed during a bingo game, and made playing bingo muuch easier for Joanna. However other bingo players complained about the noisy beeps and further use of the cards was disallowed by local bingo halls in her area, unless the cards were set to ’silent’ mode – an apparent contradiction in terms.

Joanna started campaigning against this decision and took the battle all the way to the NY Racing and Wagering Board, not letting up until victory was assured. She has now won the right to use her audible bingo cards wherever she plays bingo, and is happy to have won her battle.

“You have the control over the majority of what’s going on now” she said “You don’t feel like you’re throwing your money away. You know when you’re waiting and you know when you won. You can’t be cheated.” she was quoted saying.

Joanna can now set the card to make a beep when she has 1TG (one to go) or when she hits a bingo, which will allow her to play bingo again comfortable in the knowledge that she won’t miss out on a win (unless she falls asleep)!

What I found unsettling about this report was that apparently the entire issue appeared to have been caused by fellow bingo players, annoyed with the beeps emitted by the electronic bingo card. It just doesn’t seem to be in character of any bingo fan, whether you play bingo online or in a traditional bingo hall, to exclude someone from playing bingo games for such a selfish issue. My words might sound strong, but how would you play bingo if you were blind?

So from across the ocean, my hearty congratulations to Joanna for the courage to stick to her convictions and score a victory for blind bingo players, bless her cotton socks! And a noisy ‘Booooo sucks’ to all those individuals who complained. Shame on you.

Posh Bingo spreads its wings on TV

The all new Posh Bingo is the latest online bingo site to go nationwide on the telly. The site has just released its very first TV advertising campaign which will run til the end of June, on regular TV channels during the commercial breaks of shows including Coronation Street and Emmerdale, and also satellite too.

Posh Bingo is capitalising on its new found fame and glory, and doing a great job too. Personally I’m overjoyed that this solid online bingo site has finally broken away from its rather conservative origins, and has emerged as a free spirit - with plenty of excellent free bingo games to boot!

There are 4 TV advertisments in the current campaign, each featuring animated every day objects gossiping away about Posh Bingo, in upmarket settings including as a golf club, a fancy hotel, a designer handbag shop, and a upper crust tea room.

The Posh Bingo ads are enjoyable, with a touch of humour thrown in and a smattering of various posh British accents. One of the TV ads is aimed directly at men, which I find refreshing and innovative, and a clever strategy by the folks behind Posh Bingo.

It’s definitely worth checking out the Posh Bingo ads, you can see them on the front page of the bingo site itself, just click on the image of the telly and hey presto!

Bingo Roulette

Personally, I really enjoy the different perspectives that Tombola Bingo bring to the game of online bingo. Some of their latest inventions are really cool and imaginative, take Roller Coaster, or Freefall, the free bingo game at Tombola that lasts for a week - all of these are bingo game variants that spice up the excitement and make for a very enjoyable experience.

Bingo Roulette is another one in this great class of bingo games, and the excitement of playing in a real casino is successfully incorporated into the design of this game. Just watch all your busy bingo buddies chatting away as the roulette wheel spins relentlessly round and round, calling out their numbers, you can almost imagine everyone standing around a real roulette table!

When you see Bingo Roulette in action, you wonder why nobody ever thought of this before. Using the roulette table which is numbered from 0 to 36, that’s 37 numbers in total, each bingo player has a ‘card’ where they can choose which 8 numbers to place their chips on.

The goal is exactly the same as regular bingo, every spin of the roulette wheel brings a different number which removes the winning chips from the layout. There are prizes for 1 line, 2 lines and Full House bingo. And to make it even more attractive, if you can clear all your 8 chips in 12 spins or less, you win the game jackpot of £400, £1000 or £2000 - depending on which of the three Bingo Roulette rooms you’re playing in.

In just a short time, I believe this new game was only launched last week, Bingo Roulette has become a big hit at Tombola, and has already paid out more than £50,000 in jackpot prizes! Definitely worth checking out Bingo Roulette!

Posh Bingo

Bingostreet broke the news in an exclusive yesterday about the long-expected massive makeover for one of our dead fave bingo sites, Posh Bingo, and we waited with baited breath all day for the beautiful phoenix to step out of the flames, but a few technical hiccups delayed the launch which had originally been scheduled for noon.

Posh Bingo finally launched yesterday evening, and you’ve never seen such a total makeover for an online bingo site in your life. Take a trip with your mouse to www.PoshBingo.com and see for yourself. I must admit I did pop in to the new Posh Bingo last night to try out their free bingo games, and yes, they really are free!

The beautiful chocolatey-pink colour scheme is probably the first thing you’ll notice, this bingo site is really decked-up to the nines, celebrating everything that is posh, including a cheeky little madam of a poodle right next to the new bingo site logo, nice touch.

The second thing that hit me was the Free Bingo games plastered all over the bingo site, and we’re not just talking one or two free bingo games a day, Posh Bingo have now got 2 dedicated free bingo rooms, no deposit required, where you win random cash jackpots all day every day, a wonderful idea for bingo fans who are struggling with the credit crunching gloom.

So we’ve got a brand new wardrobe, and non-stop free bingo games, what else? Well the biggest news is that Posh Bingo has finally got its very own bingo network, which means the folks behind the scenes have got the freedom to offer bingo fans much more choice, with unique bingo games, exciting bingo promotions and bingo jackpots, without having to tow the line.

And Posh Bingo has already broken away from the crowd, only the 2nd bingo site that I’m aware of to provide 2 dedicated bingo rooms to non-stop free bingo games every day. Along with the free bingo games, you’ll find tons of penny bingo games, 1p, 2p, 3p, 5p, 10p bingo games – all in all, a great range of online bingo games tailored for the gloomy depression we’re living through atm. But you’ll also find a ton of big bingo games with really juicy jackpots up for grabs, so it doesn’t really matter about the state of your bingo budget, Posh Bingo caters for everyone.

The beauty of having your own network, gives a bingo site the freedom to choose exactly what bingo games it’ll offer, along with unique bingo promotions and top bingo bonuses, all in all, I think bingo fans will be very happy with the re-birth of Posh Bingo, I know I can’t wait to get stuck in again tonight and have a real explore!

Wink Bingo ad

Hey have you seen the new Wink Bingo ad yet? You know, the woman in pink pyjamas dancing with delight after a big jackpot win at Wink Bingo. It’s actually featured on the home page of WinkBingo.com, well a short clip of it anyway - before it gets really interesting and she starts dancing up the walls, crawling along the ceiling and down the other side!

Despite the seemingly normal setting of a regular living room and a lady in pink PJ’s playing bingo on her laptop, there’s quite a lot of thought and work behind this. Apparently they decided not to do the usual blue screen special effects, but built a complete room on a revolving thingy so that the actress just had to stay upright while the room revolved around her! They were going for the effect of realism with a bit of Wink Bingo magic on the top! Nice work I think.

You can check out the latest Wink Bingo advert on the bingo site itself, along with all its predecessors, quite a reputation they’ve managed to build up in one short year, spreading the message of how great it is to play online bingo at Wink Bingo - nice going, and I totally agree, Wink Bingo are tops in my book!

Free Keno

Jus read at BingoStreet:

I for one am glad to see that Bingostreet is branching out into the world of online keno games, as it’s one of those games now freely available online and in the same family as bingo and lotto.

If you’ve never sat down and played a keno game, then now’s an ideal time to start. With the Bingostreet Free Keno game ready for action at anytime, you just need a few seconds to create your account and then you’re off.

As with online bingo, the game of keno is all about the balls. No balls? No keno! You get to pick your choice of numbers from the board, place your bet and then wait for the balls to pop in. The more balls you predict correctly, the more you win. Simple, and great fun too!

This week our friends at Gone Bingo are the sponsors for our Free Keno tournament, and there’s £155 in cash prizes to spend at Gone Bingo - yay! To enter the competition just register for a keno account and start playing. You’ve got until midnight GMT this Sunday to get into a Top 10 position to win a prize!

I think it’s a great way to try out a new game for free, and also boost your bingo budget at the same time - a great bargain! You’ll need to be a depositing player at Gone Bingo to receive your prize. If you’re not yet a member or you haven’t deposited yet, my first question is why not? 2nd question is don’t you realise that new players get £15 FREE plus a super-boosted 300% 1st deposit bonus! Not many online bingo sites go out that far for new bingo members, you heard it here first!

So do yourself a favour, give your keno skills a shot, and win some free cash to play some hot bingo games at Gone Bingo this week!

Great? I'm gonna try! It's time to try other online games too... not always bingo. But maybe I have to be loyal to my name... ;) I will see. My luck will tell me.

Joke

A wife comes home at 3am, wearing an enormous diamond ring. Her husband meets her at the door and asks her where she got the ring
“I won it playing BINGO”?, she says, “run me a bath will you, I want to soak.”

The next night the wife comes home at 3am again, this time she’s wearing a beautiful fur coat. Again her husband meets her at the door and asks her where the coat came from.

“I won again at the BINGO”?, she says, “now be a darling and run me a bath will you?”?

The next night the wife gets home at 3am, this time driving a brand new convertible. Her husband meets her at the door and asks her where on earth she got the new car from.

“Can you believe it, I won it playing BINGO! Now run me a bath so I can relax.”?

She undresses, goes into the bathroom and then comes right back out. “Why did you only put one inch of water in the bathtub?” she asks.

“Well,”? her husband answers, “I didn’t want you to get your bingo card wet”

Addicted to playing bingo online

Even in the comparatively innocent world of online bingo, people are susceptible to the dangers of becoming addicted to playing bingo online.

I’ve been following the court case of a 39 year old woman from Norwich who received a 12 month prison sentence just last week, after being convicted of stealing a huge sum of money to fund her gambling addiction to online bingo and slots.

Over a period of 14 months starting in April 2007 she managed to steal a total of £75,000 from the local sorting office in Norwich where she had been an employee for 14 years. Every penny she stole she used to play bingo online, or spin away on the slots.

According to gambling counsellors, these types of court cases are on the rise in the UK. Although 98% of gamblers are able to gamble responsibly, there is a minority of 2% of those who don’t or can’t.

It is very easy, some would say too easy, to open an internet bingo account and start gambling online. In spite of being a great community game, playing bingo online is a form of gambling. As such it becomes part of the greater issue when it comes to problem gambling.

In the same way that Government Health Warnings are now plastered all over cigarette packs, so are the dangers of gambling addiction displayed on the front pages of all regulated and legal online bingo sites in the UK, with direct links to Gamblers Anonymous.

However, as with tobacco, there’s only so much that you can do to protect the minority while catering for the 98% majority of gamblers that gamble responsibly.

In spite of being an avid online bingo supporter and fan, I do feel however, that a portion of the unpleasant burden must be shouldered by the online bingo industry in general, and accepted as an issue that needs to be addressed even more responsibly.

The onus needs to be on the individual bingo sites to identify problem gamblers earlier, and if necessary, these players should be permanently banned from ALL online bingo sites for life - not only for their own protection, but also for the protection of the online bingo industry itself.

Friday 13

Sun Bingo are really revving up the hot bingo action of late, and although I don’t usually play bingo online at Sun Bingo (my favourite site is Wink Bingo), recently they’ve been coming up with some really cool bingo promotions that push my bingo buttons in all the right places!

One great advantage that Sun Bingo has is the sheer number and variety of internet bingo games plus extra games on hand. There is an awful lot to choose from which means us bingo players have a lot more freedom to decide what bingo games to play and when.

This week for instance there’s a chance to win a supercool £1000 jackpot every night at 9pm in the Sun Bingo 90 game - this special online bingo promotion is only on for one week, so I’d thoroughly advise you guys and gals to get down there ASAP and buy your bingo tickets now!

Friday 13th is also another excellent opportunity for bingo sites to pull out the lucky promotions on this traditionally unlucky day, and Sun Bingo will double your winnings if you bingo on #13 this Friday.

That's a great offer isn't it?

Online bingo stats

Some 50,000 of the estimated 3 million land-based bingo players now play bingo online. 90% of these are below the age of 50, dispelling the myth that bingo is for the older generation. 85% of online players are women.

If you go into an online bingo site and enter the chat room, you will find that there are significantly more female players there than male players. That's why most online bingo sites target women aged 35-54 with their advertising.

A recent survey commissioned by St Minver Ltd, showed that the UK was third in a list behind the US and Japan of countries with the highest propensity playing online bingo.

One of the biggest bingo software providers, Parlay Entertainment undertook a survey of the bingo market together with UK bingo players. It derived from its product that of the $150 million global market, the US provided 85% of revenues, whereas the UK was the fastest growing online market.

While the market is growing fast, still only 1% of UK land-based players played online, showing that many have still not made the transition to online bingo.

Penny Bingo Games

Alongside free bingo games, penny bingo games are becoming very popular among online bingo UK fans, and almost every bingo site in town has at least one of these ’so cheap it’s almost free bingo games’ bubbling away on the pot.
There’s something delightful about playing a game of online bingo and spending a penny - ahem, not that kind of penny, you know what I mean!
But seriously, how much better can it get than penny bingo? You can easily afford penny bingo games, they don’t bring a huge deficit to your online bingo budget, and you can play bingo online merrily for hours on end at a time.
Of course penny bingo games don’t tend to offer mega jackpots, however there’s one particular game coming up this Friday I believe at Wink Bingo, where tickets cost just 1p a shot, and the penny bingo game jackpot is an incredible £2,000!
Work it out for yourselves, pay 1p for a bingo card to this game and you win £2,000 - that’s a return on your investment of 200,000%!!!!!
Of course most of the wise winkers will be buying more than 1 solo bingo ticket for this cool penny bingo game, but in the end it comes down to a combination of chance and lady luck and a whole lotta bingo balls!
So don’t miss the huge penny bingo game at Wink Bingo tomorrow, could make history as the best investment ever!

Have to try

Everywhere you look today there’s absolutely tons of free bingo games - it’s a glorious place to be right now if you’re a big fan of online bingo, and are partial to a few games of free bingo!
Today for instance, Virgin Bingo are holding penny bingo games all day long - which is virtually free bingo - since 8am this morning right up until midnight tonight, just pop along to Virgin Bingo and get a 100% match on your first deposit up to £125 PLUS penny bingo games for the rest of the night - with real cash prizes to be won!!!
If you’re feeling the effects of the credit crunch with the rest of us, then free bingo games and penny bingo games are definitely the way forward for internet bingo sites in the UK. And I know that generally online bingo games have become incredibly cheap of late, with 5p and 10p tickets the norm, for some pretty hot cash prizes too, but it does all add up.
So when an opportunity comes along where you can play free bingo all day and all night long, then we jump right in!
Another great online bingo site recently launched is Cheeky Bingo - the great thing about these guys is that they have 3 whole rooms dedicated to nothing but free bingo games. Again, you don’t have to spend a single penny, you can play free bingo til the cows come home plus you get to win cash prizes too.
Not surprisingly, the bingo rooms at Cheeky Bingo are jam-packed full with a very lively crowd of bingo fans, and some people have actually managed to win quite a fair bit just by playing free bingo online!

Scratchcard

Many online bingo sites offer a whole lot more than just bingo, giving bingo players a choice of extra instant games that can be played at the same time as playing bingo online.
Instant games include slots, casino games and also scratchcard games. These extra games are called side games or instant games, as they can be played quickly. Instant games were originally added as an extra option for bingo players while they wait for the next bingo game to start.
That's how I found my favourite type of instant game the virtual scratchcard - just like the normal scratchcards you buy on the highstreet, except it’s online. One of the very great advantages to playing online scratchcards is that the instant the jackpot is won, the jackpot is reset.
When you play a scratchcard on the highstreet, someone could have just won the jackpot in Scotland, and you’d be hoping for the prize but in reality your chances of scoring the big one would be zero.
Online scratchcards have become so popular with the help of online bingo sites, that websites such as Scratch2Cash offer an entire range of scratchcards - and a few slot games to boot, even some bingo themed scratchcard games too.
The Scratch2Cash collection of scratchcards is unique, in that these instant games are exceptionally designed and you’ll find many different ways to play the simple scratchcard but with maximum fun and maximum winnings too.
The chances of winning when you play the online scratchcards at Scratch2Cash are 1 in 3. The prizes span an incredible range, depending on how much you stake, you could win up to £200,000 on a single card!
The instant games at Scratch2Cash include multi-themed scratchcards, including bingo games and keno too, 3 and 5 reel slots, and casino table games. All in all a great selection of online scratchcards to get you scratching and winning!
Try out Scratch2Cash for yourself and get £5 Free today!

Game Village bingo site

I’ve only very recently heard about the new Game Village bingo site - it’s one of the newest bingo sites on the online bingo UK scene at the moment, and it’s making huge waves!
One of the few bingo sites around that uses its very own bingo software, it presents bingo fans with a complete virtual village community, which makes it an extremely rewarding and exciting place to play bingo online.
It’s something that you’ll have to try for yourself, as it’s a totally unique experience that no other online bingo site does at this moment.
Game Village currently has 5 bingo rooms to choose from, and not only the regular 75 and 90 ball bingo games, but extra variations of the game including the extremely exciting Elimination Bingo game. You’ll also find some totally addictive extra games at this bingo site, including Dingo and SuperGems, which you can play in multiplayer tournament style - you’ll find that once you start you won’t be able to stop, it’s that addictive!!!
But the one thing that makes Game Village stand out from the crowd, is the extra effort they’ve put in to make their own virtual village community. You’ll need to make 3 deposits to qualify for a special invitation, and then you get your very own house in the bingo village!
All sorts of exciting extra’s come when you reach homeowner status, you can use the map and roam around the streets meeting your new bingo buddy neighbours, hold private house parties, even private bingo games, and much more! A great touch is the changing colour and status of your house, the longer you live in the village you’ll see your house change colour and grow bigger, until eventually if you reach the highest level it’ll turn into a brilliant gold castle!
We’re all really excited about Game Village at Bingostreet - it’s incredibly refreshing to see an online bingo site with totally unique bingo software, and basically it’s something that we’ve never seen before. And it tickles us pink! Try out Game Village today and let us know if it tickles you pink too!
Game Village offers £20 Free to new players!

A joke for today

I was surfing on the web and I found this old joke... It brought up funny memmories when I went to play bingo with my grandma. She was a fine old lady but could forget about her good breeding in a second when she was playing bingo.

Q: How do you get a sweet, little old lady to say the F-word?
A: Get another little old lady to shout "BINGO!!!

For the memory of my grandma I don't play online bingo today, I will play real at the evening.

Bingo bonuses

Online bingo sites always offer bonuses, you would be a fool not to get the advantage of these. To find these offers you have to check many bingo sites, which takes time. There is a much more efficient way to hear about the latest online bingo bonuses: Sign up for a bingo newsletter!

I tryed different bingo newsletter services but I wasn't really satisfied with any of them. Finally I found Bingo Street Newsletter and I decided to stuck with it, they post the most useful informations about the online bingo world!

Online Bingo Strategy

The best strategy is being lucky like me :) But there is a strategy for those too, who didn't born to be a bingo winner:

I’ve got a few pointers for you to increase your chances of winning when you play bingo online. There are two main types of bingo games, in this article I’ll discuss the 75 ball bingo variety and how you can better your chances of hitting those cool bingo jackpots.

In 75 ball bingo, you have a chance of 1 in 75 of getting a ball when the game of bingo online starts. Let’s take a look at how the game of 75 ball bingo is played.

When you play bingo online of the 75 ball variety, your bingo cards or tickets have a random selection of 25 numbers. During the bingo game the numbers will be called out one by one, until a line, full house or pattern is won during play. In online bingo this means that you have several chances to win the jackpot before someone else does. Each time a bingo number is drawn it’s posted on the screen and you can either manually check your bingo cards or use the handy auto-daub feature that most bingo online websites offer.

So if the first number to be called is I 8, you can make the following deductions. You already know that in 75 ball bingo there are 7 balls that end in the number 8. If 8 is on your bingo card, then there are 6 bingo balls left that will end in 8. This means your chance of getting another 8 is lower than for other numbers. Also, because 8 is an even number, your chances are further reduced as the number of remaining even bingo balls has declined.

Online bingo strategy is a way of looking at the probabilities that one number will appear over another. The online bingo hopper you see on the computer screen is run by a Random Number Generator, which means that there isn’t a fixed pattern for the next bingo numbers to be called. So if you are serious about improving your winning odds when you play bingo online, you need to look at the bingo cards you select.

The odds of drawing 25 winning online bingo numbers from 75 bingo balls before anyone else are not that high. However if you pay attention when you select your cards, you can increase your winning chances.

So if one of your online bingo card choices shows the numbers 1 to 5 on the first row, in terms of probability you would do well to leave this card alone, however it’s still possible that these could very well be the winning bingo numbers. You’ll find that the best online bingo players select bingo cards with an even scattering of even and odd, high and low numbers. Some even suggest that as more bingo balls are drawn the numbers left in the bingo hopper will be closer to 38, but this is an unproved bit of bingo gossip.

Choose your bingo online cards wisely and you could find that you’re hitting the online bingo jackpots a lot more frequently!

Online Bingo

The online bingo world developed a lot since I started to play. It's not only about playing bingo, you can chat or play games just for fun .

I had my hard times as gambling can be a heavy addiction. But I am responsible now and I know my limits.

Bingo is sometimes not considered to be a responsible game. After all when you play bingo you are wagering money on a minimal chance to win. This doesn’t detract from the game however, for many of the players. Instead this seems to be part of the challenge. Unfortunately there are times where gambling online anywhere can become an addiction. Bingo is typically not seen as the topmost gambling addiction, but there are still some responsible bingo gaming tips we can offer to help you avoid this potential problem.
These tips are going to help you be more aware of the bingo games that you are playing, to help you wager better and more effectively. You should also keep in mind your overall monthly online bingo budget, this way you should find it easy to keep track of how much you spend, and to not to spend more than you can afford when you play bingo online.
The first and most important tip to play bingo responsibly, is to set your wagering limits. Before you start to play bingo, you should choose an amount that you are comfortable with to play with. Bingo games have varying ticket prices, you can find games that start from as little as 1p a ticket, or bigger jackpot bingo games with tickets priced around the £1 mark. If £1 is too much for you, then you should be checking out the smaller bingo game, so that you don’t go over your bingo budget.
Please also keep in mind that some bingo games might state that the ticket price is just £1, but there is a minimum purchase of 5 tickets, which means that you’re having to fork out £5 instead of just £1. So if you’re struggling with the rest of us under the state of the economy at the moment, it makes very good sense to stick to the lower priced bingo rooms and play bingo games that you can afford. This is a very responsible attitude, and if you stick to this basic rule you should not go astray.
Another important tip for helping you to play bingo responsibly, is to keep an eye on your account history. You’ll find that most, if not all, online bingo sites keep records of your bingo game play and also of your deposits and cashouts to and from your online bingo account. Keep tabs on how much you spend playing bingo online a week, a month, and then work out if the amount is easily affordable, or should you be cutting back slightly, or even a lot? It’s important to monitor your bingo account history regularly to keep track of your spending, and then you can easily adjust as you go along, to find a balance that suits you best.
The last tip on playing bingo online responsibly is simply to play bingo games as a hobby. Do not look upon your bingo games as a way to earn money. Don’t think that the massive bingo jackpots that you see advertised all over the bingo sites have your name on them. Bingo is a form of gambling, and though you can have some great runs of luck as with all gambling games, it will never become something that you can depend upon to pay your bills. Bingo players do get lucky all the time, however the chances of winning a big bingo jackpot are relatively small. So if you maintain the right attitude, and keep playing bingo online as a hobby and an enjoyable pasttime when you can relax and chat to your bingo buddies while you play bingo, this is the best attitude you can have, and will keep you out of trouble.

The History of Bingo

In the U.S., bingo was originally called "beano". It was a country fair game where a dealer would select numbered discs from a cigar box and players would mark their cards with beans. They yelled "beano" if they won.
The game's history can be traced back to 1530, to an Italian lottery called "Lo Giuoco del Lotto D'Italia," which is still played every Saturday in Italy. From Italy the game was introduced to France in the late 1770s, where it was called "Le Lotto", a game played among wealthy Frenchmen. The Germans also played a version of the game in the 1800s, but they used it as a child's game to help students learn math, spelling and history.
When the game reached North America in 1929, it became known as "beano". It was first played at a carnival near Atlanta, Georgia. New York toy salesman Edwin S. Lowe renamed it "bingo" after he overheard someone accidentally yell "bingo" instead of "beano". He hired a Columbia University math professor, Carl Leffler, to help him increase the number of combinations in bingo cards. By 1930, Leffler had invented 6,000 different bingo cards. [It is said that Leffler then went insane.]
A Catholic priest from Pennsylvania approached Lowe about using bingo as a means of raising church funds. When bingo started being played in churches it became increasingly popular. By 1934, an estimated 10,000 bingo games were played weekly, and today more than $90 million dollars are spent on bingo each week in North America alone.

Nowadays there are lots of great online bingo sites, Bingo Street is a great site for start. They've got detailed recommendations of the best bingo websites online, a fantastic guide to online bingo lingo, the latest news from the bingo online world and more.

How I got my bingo name

How I've got this funny name?
My family name is Bing.
My mother won a nice amount of money on Bingo on the day of my birth. (actually she was driven to the hospital from there)
My father likes to play on words.

So Bingo is my fate. I've always loved to play and since I've got internet at home Bingo became part of my everyday life.

My favourite Online Bingo site is Bingo Street
